“Rich has proven that he knows business and technology. We need leaders like Rich to change the culture by bringing business and opportunity back to Connecticut.”
“I am proud to endorse Rich DuPont for Congress because I’ve seen first-hand how hard he has worked to bring jobs and workforce training to the greater Waterbury area,” Winn said. “Rich believes the path to a good job is through education and training and he has devoted his career to providing those services to individuals and businesses in the District.”
With his experience in manufacturing, at a global scale, DuPont said he can work to funnel appropriations into the state “that support jobs, workforce development, education, and training.”
“Children should not be separated from their parents in America,” DuPont said. “I support strong borders and I believe in enforcing our laws, but what is happening now is a tragedy and a humanitarian crisis.”
Johnson said in a statement, “Good public servants listen, and Rich will listen to what the people of the 5th District want and need — and that’s why we need him to represent us in Congress.’’
DuPont views “manufacturing” as the vehicle to secure more federal funding for Connecticut educational, economic development and infrastructure programs through its connections with the Department of Defense.
